Alternative CD 1: 1-7

[info]noorie requested some tracks from Alternative.

I did some checking at the Capitol Records site and the EMI site in my part of the world. There is no mention of this PSB album on either website. It's also unavailable at the UK online record store affiliated with the official site. So I'm fairly sure this album is no longer in 'print'.

I'll post tracks from the 2 CD set in four posts over the next week or so, and include some remixes/different versions for comparison. Alternative tracks are numbered.

Alternative CD 1: tracks 1-7

01 In the Night
- In the Night (Arthur Baker remix) - appeared on the "Essential PSB" CD and B-side to the Paninaro '95 single.
- In the Night 1995 - B-side to the Before single.

02 A Man Could Get Arrested
- A Man Could Get Arrested (7" B-side) - produced by Stephen Spiro. I adore this, especially the female backing singers at the end. Should have been a single :P

03 That's My Impression - technically this is the 'disco mix.' There's a 7" mix that's about a minute shorter but sounds fairly similar.

04 Was That What It Was?

05 Paninaro
- Paninaro (Italiam remix) - appeared on the Disco album.
- Paninaro (Ian Levine mix)

PSB liked it so much they did another version in 1995:
- Paninaro '95 (PSB extended mix)
- Paninaro '95 (Tin Tin Out mix)
- Paninaro '95 (Tracy's 12" mix) - remixed by Tracy and Sharon
- Paninaro '95 (Angel Moraes Deep Dance mix)

06 Jack the Lad

07 You Know Where You Went Wrong
- You Know Where You Went Wrong (rough version) - a different ending with distorted vocal effects.

I need to rip it from CD. I'll put it up tomorrow for you :)

If you have any other requests, write them here so others can also read them.

actually, Alternative is indeed still available -- check FYE and check Amazon. I got mine from an FYE quite some time ago. But it's difficult to find anywhere else in the world, I'm told.

ooooh :) btw 'alternative' might still be available, i dunno, all i know is i barely found a cassette copy to buy, and even that was oh, years ago. i haven't heard the alternative songs since my cassette player was lifted by my sister and wow i've never heard most of the other versions you've posted. truly awesome.
